What we're referring to here are programs such as journalism, broadcasting, advertising, speech, mass communications, marketing, speechwriting, etc. But you shouldn't consider this to be a comprehensive list of what does and doesn't constitute "media and communication," especially since the name and structure of these programs vary widely from school to school.

In the end, if you think there's some reason to doubt that we'd consider your program to be media or communication, just explain in your essay why you think it is. We're reasonable people -- just make your case, and your application will likely be considered along with everyone else's.
