At StraightForward Media, we administer a number of different scholarship programs. Some, like the Fridell Memorial and the Mesothelioma Memorial , are open to a very broad pool of applicants. Others, like our Nursing Scholarships and Votech Scholarships, are very specific.

In 2005, we're introducing the Science Scholarships program (and several other programs as the year progresses) to strike a balance between our existing very broad and very specific programs. The Science Scholarships are open to students in all areas of the sciences. In addition to well-known fields of science like biology, chemistry, physics, and dozens of others, we also allow applicants from the social sciences to apply for the Science Scholarships as well.

The Science Scholarships program is intended for students studying in a certain sector of academic life, but doesn't restrict them to any one particular field of study. We think the Science Scholarships program is an excellent way to begin the rollout of our new programs in 2005. It's the perfect bridge between the past and the cutting-edge future: between the astronomers and physicians of the ancient world who struggled to unlock the basic mysteries of how the world operated, to the cancer researchers and nanotechnologists of the 21st century.
