It all started by accident. Back in the summer of 2003, StraightForward Media introduced the Dale E. Fridell Memorial Scholarship. It was (and still is) open to students in all areas of postsecondary education. But for some reason, we got an inordinate number of applications and inquiries from nursing students.

We could never figure out why future nurses seemed to be so interested in the Fridell Scholarship, until we discovered one day that the award was being heavily promoted to nursing students by the website DiscoverNursing.com. That explained everything.

To this day, we continue to draw a great deal of interest from the community of nursing students. One day the thought occurred to us...why not create a scholarship especially for nursing students? The idea made sense, and now it's a reality. Apply online for the scholarship now!
